Email Scam: We have terminated your access to the TwinStar Credit Union
A current email scam sends fraudulent email messages claiming to be from TwinStar Credit Union stating “We have terminated your access to the TwinStar Credit Union Internet Banking System.”
These types of email messages are usually designed to bait users into clicking malicious links that may cause a computer to become infected with malware or direct users to fraudulent websites. In this case it appears that this email was constructed to steal TwinStar Credit Union user information by sending users to a ‘forged home banking webpage.’
This email message has been confirmed as a scam and is in no way associated with TwinStar Credit Union who currently holds an A+ rating with the BBB and has been an accredited business since 1988. The credit union is aware of this scam that targets TwinStar Credit Union users and other individuals and has made efforts to raise awareness.
If you have received this email or similar email messages it is important to avoid clicking any links and avoid downloading any attachments. Immediately delete this message and similar fake email messages if you find them in your inbox.
