Facebook Scam: Malaysian Air Flight MH370 Found By Sailor
Beware of a Facebook scam that claims Malaysian Air Flight MH370 was found by a sailor who was awarded $5,000,000 on the spot. This is a Facebook scam that hijacks Facebook pages and ultimately directs users to never-ending surveys used to collect manually submitted user information.
Information collected on these surveys include full names, home addresses, telephone numbers, email addresses, and other sensitive data.
This Facebook scam claims that spams Facebook News Feeds using hijacked accounts stating that Malaysian Flight MH370 was found by a sailor and will display an image of a CNN broadcast in order to seem legitimate; However, the image is completely fabricated image of the Hudson River Crash in New York in January of 2009.
