Scam: Email Exceeded Storage Limit

Email scams have been circulating around that claim your e-mail account has exceeded it’s sending and receiving limit or something similar. These emails often contain malicious links that will install malware directly onto the computer system if clicked. Furthermore, these email scams may ask victims for sensitive personal information including full names, home addresses, usernames to accounts, passwords, and more.

If you receive an email that says something similar to “Email Exceeded Storage Limit” make sure to immediately delete it. The message is not true, it is a scam meant to click-bait victims to download malware and visit malicious websites.

There are many versions of email spam messages associated with the Email Exceeded Storage Limit scam. A few have been listed below for reference:

We are sending this e-mail to inform you that your e-mail account has excedeed it's sending and receiving limit in the last 7 days. Due to this , your account was suspended in order to prevent unwanted spyware and bots using our customer's accounts.
